✦ Synopsis
Description and results of man and machine motion studies carried out with the aid of electric lamps attached to the moving hand and to moving machine parts in order to record the motion paths and times by photography. This technique has been used to determine hand speeds when an operator attempts to reach into the danger zone, to produce space-time diagrams of complex machine movements and to study deceleration characteristics of machine parts.
