โœฆ Synopsis

An overview of psychopharmacological interventions in developmental disorders is presented, followed by a review of treatment in fragile X syndrome, fetal alcohol syndrome, Angelman syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, Smith-Magenis syndrome, and velocardiofacial syndrome. Each of these disorders has a specific behavioral phenotype, and we are making progress in clarifying each of their psychopharmacological phenotypes. Common problems such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and mood lability are reviewed, although unique aspects of each disorder are emphasized.
