Abstract
The pseudospectral time‐domain (PSTD) algorithm is extended to model the electromagnetic scattering from both 2‐D and 3‐D objects. The plane‐wave excitation and the time‐domain near–far field transforms in the stretched coordinates are efficiently incorporated into the scattered‐field PSTD algorithm. Numerical results demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm in wave‐scattering problems. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 29: 123–125, 2001.
