Abstract
Isotopically substituted styrene, (__phenyl‐^2^__H~5~) styrene (3), and selectively labled styrene, [alpha;, beta;‐^2^H~2~] styrene (6), were prepared by the classical two step synthesis, starting with the correspondingly labeled compounds. By anionic polymerization in an inert atmosphere labeled high molecular weight polystyrences 10 and 11 were prepared.
