## Abstract This paper describes the results of a reevaluation of the reliability of a newly developed ultrasonic volume flow meter which was developed by Yoshimura and his co‐workers (1978). Measurements of volume blood flow (cc/sec) by this new technique were compared withmeasurement by the elect

The effect of heat transfer on the motion of blood in a diseased artery has been modeled under the optically thin fluid assumption. Closed-form analytical solutions are obtained for the volume flow rate, rate of heat transfer and shear stress at the vessel wall. The study shows that, in addition to
PC-VIPR allows for characterization and quantification of hemodynamics in the entire hepatic system as well as inherent anatomical co-registration from a single scan. Results shown here reveal the potential of PC-VIPR for monitoring treatments for portal hypertension such as β-blockers and TIPS.
