โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

Image localized, waterโ€suppressed proton magnetic resonance spectra were obtained from affected brain in patients with multiple sclerosis. In patients with moderate to severe chronic disease, spectra revealed a decreased ratio of Nโ€acetylaspartate to creatine resonance intensities. A normal ratio was obtained from a large recently symptomatic MRI plaque that resolved without sequelae. We propose that the observed metabolite changes can be useful as an index of irreversible CNS injury. ยฉ 1990 Academic Press, Inc.

## Abstract Cerebral maturation in the normal human fetal brain was investigated by in utero localized proton MR spectroscopy (^1^H MRS). Fiftyโ€eight subjects at 22โ€“39 weeks of gestational age (GA) were explored. A combination of anterior body phasedโ€array coils (four elements) and posterior spinal

To assess putative magnetization transfer effects on the proton resonances of cerebral metabolites in human brain, we performed quantitative proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (2.0 T, STEAM, TR/TE/TM = 6000/40/10 ms, LCModel data evaluation) of white matter (7.68 mL, 10 healthy young subjects) i

## Abstract A singleโ€voxel proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (^1^Hโ€MRS) filtering strategy for in vivo detection of serine (Ser) in human brain at 7T is proposed.
