✦ Synopsis

Abstract

The spectra of several 2‐methyl‐6‐R‐disubstituted naphthalenes (R=H, Me, I, NO~2~, Cl, SO~2~Cl, OH, OMe, COMe, Br, F and NHCOMe), have been analysed. Chemical shift and coupling constant values of these compounds are presented. The proton chemical shifts have been found to correlate with the ortho parameter, Q.

## Abstract The conformations in solution of 6‐phenyltetrahydropterin, 6,7‐diphenyltetrahydropterin and 6‐7, dimethyltetrahydropterin have been determined from their proton magnetic resonance spectra. The 6‐phenyltetrahydropterin has the reduced pyrazine ring in a half chair conformation with the p
