✦ Synopsis
Measurements have been made of the longitudinal proton magnetic relaxation of the non-exchangeable protons of S'AMP in DZO solutions at 300 MHz from 278 to 333 K. The proton relaxation times are dominated by dipolar interactions modulated by the relative motion of the S'AMP molecules in solution and by hindered intramolecular motions around the glycosidic and the C4.-C5' bonds. Activation energies characterizing the intramolecular motions range between 6.2 and 14.7 kJ/mole and 16.9 and 40.4 kJ/mole, respectively.

## Synopsis The molecular conformation of adenosine-5'-monophosphate (5'-AMP) in D20 (pH 8.1) has been investigated by the method of "DESERT" proposed earlier by Akasaka e t al. [J. Magn. Reson. 18,328 (1975)]. The reciprocal sixth-power-averaged distances F, ?3 between H(8) of the adenine ring an
The binding of adenosine 3',5'-monophosphate (CAMP) to its specific protein kinase in the presence of hydroxyapatite, collagen and chondroitin sulfate was studied. Only hydroxyapatite inhibited CAMP binding to the protein kinase. To overcome this inhibition, a new and simple technique for the extrac
Carbon-13 and proton spin-lattice relaxation times have been discussed in terms of intramolecular motions for solutions of poly(dimethyl-and poly(diphenylphenylene.oxides). The most suitable auto-correlation function seems to be a sum of several exponential modes. Comparison with the results of prev
