Membrane preparations from growing regions of pea stems and activelydividing mouse L-cells form lipid-linked saccharides from GDP-mannose and UDP-N-acetylglucosamine. These lipids have properties which are consistent with those of mono-and di-phosphoryl polyisoprenyl derivatives. In experiments usi
