✦ Synopsis


The PΓ΄le BioInformatique Lyonnais (PBIL) in Gerland, a suburb of Lyons, was created in January 1998 to focus on protein structure. The aims of this institute include the development of methods of protein secondary structure prediction, detection of fuzzy motifs in protein sequences, automatic molecular modelling tools and protein sequence analysis software (e.g. GENO3D, ANTHEPROT and MPSA). The software is available for on-line analysis or for downloading.

ExPASy-SWISS-3DIMAGE

http://www.expasy.ch/sw3d/ This on-line database not only provides images of experimentally elucidated structures, but also gives views of well-established theoretical protein models. The images, accessible by description, identification or SWISS-PROT accession number, are provided in several useful formats. Both mono and stereo pictures are generally available.
