## Abstract The present study was designed to evaluate the preventive effects of __N__‐acetyl cysteine on lipid peroxide metabolism in isoproterenol (ISO) induced myocardial infarcted rats. Male albino Wistar rats were pretreated with __N__‐acetyl cysteine (5 and 10 mg/kg) daily for a period of 14
