✦ Synopsis

In terms of the rate of DNA fragmentation and electrophoresis patterns, we demonstrated that apoptosis was induced in LLC-PK 1 cells subjected to the Fenton reaction with H 2 O 2 and Fe 2 . In addition, Wen-Pi-Tang, which is known to inhibit the progression of renal failure in both an experimental and a clinical setting, was found to suppress this apoptosis.
