The LHCb experiment is designed for flavor physics in the charm and beauty quark sectors, aiming to unveil indirect New Physics effects by means of precision measurements of CP-violation and rare decays of heavy hadrons. Hadrons containing c and b quarks are abundantly produced at the LHC, thanks to

β¦ Synopsis
A first look at the possibility of the search for the Ο β 3ΞΌ decay shows that after one year of data taking LHCb can reach slightly better upper limit than the present one obtained at the e + e -B-factories. Further improvement of this limit is quite possible. The detector performance was estimated using full Monte Carlo simulation.

LHCb is an experiment designed to search for evidence of new physics effects through precise measurements of decays of B and D mesons. Already with the early data from the first LHC running it is possible to assess the performance of the detector and to understand better the potential of the LHCb fl
