It is expected from theoretical models that, with comparable structure, anions will possess much higher intrinsic polarizabilities than neutral molecules. We suggest that noncentrosymmetric salts, obtained by associating large polarizable aromatic anions (ArS K ,ArCO K 2 or anionic metal complexes)
