Modern electrical power systems are highly interconnected and heavily loaded, and consequently an emergency may occur as a result of a sudden increase in system load or unexpected partial or total outage of a generator. This paper presents an optimal dynamic load shedding policy for generation load

โฆ Synopsis
Abatraet--In this paper six proposals for utilizing the thermal energy in the waste hot water of an oil refinery are suggested. The selection of these proposals depends upon its application in the district or industrial area around the refinery. Those proposals include air conditioning, food industry and agricultural uses. Fuel saving is studied with respect to the distance of the site from the refinery and the temperature of the hot water.
