Abstraet--2-(2',4'-Dichlorophenyl)-4-methylene-l,3-dioxolane was synthesized and polymerized by radical (AIBN and photochemically) and cationic (I 2, BF 3 . OEt2) routes. A polymerization mechanism is proposed based on the analysis of the resulting polymers.

## Abstract The homogeneous catalyst CpTiCl~3~‐MAO is able to produce a random copolymer of 4‐methyl‐1,3‐pentadiene with ethylene. ^13^C NMR analysis of the copolymers shows that after insertion of ethylene units, the next 4‐ymethyl‐1,3‐pentadiene unit can be inserted in either 1,2 or 1,4 arrangeme
## Abstract **Summary:** Homopolymerization of 4‐methyl‐1,3‐pentadiene (MP) and copolymerization of 4‐methyl‐1,3‐pentadiene with alkenes (ethylene, 1‐pentene, 4‐methyl‐1‐pentene) were performed to investigate the effect of the so‐called backbiting coordination on the chemoselectivity of 1,3‐diene p
