Abstract

Viscosity measurements were made on the plastic polyvinylidene fluoride at 240ยฐC. The flow properties continually change with time, the viscosity increasing steadily at constant stress and temperature. This is probably due to slight simultaneous evolution of HF gas and crosslinking of the polymer chains.
