✦ Synopsis

Cuprous ion conductive glasses were prepared in the systems (40 -x)CuI-xCuBr-30Cu,O-3OP,O, and (40 -x)CuI-xCuCl-3OCu,O-3OP,O,.

Glass-formation was observed in the complete range of substitution of CuBr or CuCl for CuI. The glass transition temperatures of prepared glasses ranged from 3.55 K up to 407 K. Infrared studies confirmed that the glasses contain mainly metaphosphate chain groups. The conductivity of the glasses at room temperature is of the order of lop4 S cm-' to 10M3 S cm-' and shows a positive deviation from the additivity rule for both systems, with a maximum deviation for the molar ratio X/(X + I) = 0.750.

The mixed electronic-ionic conducting glasses of the AgI-Ag,O-V,O,-P,O, system have been prepared. XRD and DTA analyses have confirmed the amorphous nature of these glasses. DTA analysis was used to determine glass transition and recrystallization temperatures. EPR measurements showed that at the V,

A Li,O-AI,O,-TiO,-PzO, glass was prepared and converted into glass-ceramics through heat-treatment at 700-1000°C for 12 h. X-ray analysis indicated that the resultant glass-ceramics were mainly composed of Li, + \Al,Ti> \(PO,), phases. The lithium ion conductivity of the glass-ceramics increased wit
