micrographs showed that microbe can grow well on ABC. The quinoline removal by the BABC was divided into 3 stages, adsorption, interim and degradation. The degradation played a key role in these stages, which was related to the optical density of bacteria in the solution. In contrast, the adsorption of quinoline on BABC only happened at the first stage. The BABC exhibited higher treatment capacity and longer use life than did ABC.
