'This is the first contemporary from Vella, and what a great read! Laugh out
loud funny, sexy, with great characters and fast paced witty dialogue. There
is a cast that hopefully will produce a lot more books in this series, and
each plays a wonderful supporting role to the hero and heroine, Jake and
Branna. Lake Howling is town in Oregon, and she builds a world there that
makes you want to visit. A Promise Of Home is a, Great Read!! Can't wait for
the next one in the series.'

'I really enjoyed this book! I have to say I usually go for the historical
genre, but I do like a good contemporary every now and again! And this was one
of them. So glad I signed up for this ARC!! There were quite a few complex
characters, so it really kept my interest. It was also unique that both the
hero and heroine had to move beyond the tragedies of their past in order to
have a future together. I appreciate the fact that I was kept guessing who the
antagonist was until the very end, because it made it much more intriguing.
Did not see that coming!

I loved this book. A sexy read with a hit of mystery. A strong female lead
character, who was easy to identify with and a hot lead male who I wouldn't
have minded to take home. Can't wait for the next one in the series, as I
enjoyed getting to know the other characters who were also in this book. Write
fast Ms Vella.

Another great read from Wendy Vella that ticks all the boxes! Looking forward
to the next one and exploring more of Lake Howling.

An emotional contemporary romance, "A Promise of Home"brings together two
people with a lot of emotional baggage: one from the death of her mother and
the emotional abandonment of her father, and the other from the horrors of
war. The sparks that fly between the hero and heroine will draw the reader in,
but interestingly, it is the side story involving the popular girl from high
school that will strike a chord with some. A wonderful story of healing and
love!

From the Author

This is the first contemporary book I have written, and I have to say it was a
lot of fun! Lake Howling has been simmering in the back of my head for some
time, and when I finally had the chance to write it, I really enjoyed building
the town and filling it with the people I thought deserved to live there.
Series' are great fun, but because there will be more than one book, it's
important to make sure your first book has set scene, and that you have
consistency throughout, therefore I have a very extensive spread-sheet,
helping me keep every detail, so I do not give a character black hair when
they are blond in the first book lol.

I hope you enjoy getting to know the folk of Lake Howling as much as I did.
