✦ Synopsis

I've contemplated making the transition from simple DIY to woodworking for a long while but it took this book to finally give me the confidence. The author has a talent for making the steps for each project seem so straightforward you can't wait to start. He writes in a very conversational manner with some dry humor - so dry I didn't even catch it the first time through.

The tools you'll need to begin the projects include: circular saw, jig saw, random orbital sander, drill/driver, handplane, combination square, speed square, and a tape measure. Later projects will require a router, biscuit joiner, and table saw. If you are just getting started, it may seem like a lot but you can come up with some ideas to modify the plans to suit the tools you do have. Assuming you have the interest to pick up this book, once you begin making sawdust your tool chest will find a way of growing.

Thanks to the author for writing such a fantastic book.
