β¦ Synopsis
We demonstrate that projection imaging of first-pass myocardial perfusion is robust to a major cause of the so-called subendocardial dark-rim artifact (DRA); thereby proposing radial k-space sampling as the preferred acquisition scheme for DRA-free perfusion imaging.

## Abstract A dark band or rim along parts of the subendocardial border of the left ventricle (LV) and the myocardium has been noticed in some dynamic contrastβenhanced MR perfusion studies. The artifact is thought to be due to susceptibility effects from the gadolinium bolus, motion, or resolution
