Project aims to save polymer energy costs
S mithers Rapra has been awarded over 600 000 from the European Commission (EC), to lead a project that will help the European polymer industry and its supply chain, cut its carbon footprint and environmental impact.
The three-year project, called ENER-Plast, will provide companies with the information, tools and resources needed to systematically manage their energy consumption from product design to manufacturing. The ENER-Plast project will be managed by Rapra working with a consortium of 11 partners from across Europe including the British Plastics Federation, SIRRIS (Belgium), AIMPLAS (Spain), TECOS (Solvenia) and CENTIMFE (Portugal).
