ConocoPhillips and its contractor AMEC in Aberdeen will manage the assembly and construction. Pre-engineering is well underway and will be followed by detailed engineering and procurement. Follow-up of equipment deliveries and assembly will last throughout 2005 and 2006.

AKER KVAERNER SECURES FRAM ØST SUBSEA CONTRACT

Norsk Hydro has awarded Aker Kvaerner a NKr360 million contract for subsea systems for the Fram Øst project in the North Sea. This is a tie-back project to the Troll C platform. Aker Kvaerner's subsea company, Kvaerner Oilfield Products (KOP), will deliver engineering, procurement and construction of two four-slot templates for a total of seven wells including wellhead systems and Xmas trees as well as control systems. Design, fabrication and testing will be carried out by KOP's project team in Lysaker, Tranby and Egersund in Norway and Aberdeen in UK. Production start up is planned for October 2006.
