โฆ Synopsis
Point kinetics constitutes a highly simplified but useful model to analyse the kinetics of neutron multiplying systems. The derivation of point kinetics for a fluid fuel system requires the introduction of a generalized model for the importance function including delayed neutrons and a specific consistent procedure which is presented in the present paper. The structure of the modified point-like system of equations is discussed. Some numerical results are finally presented and illustrated to evidence some specific features and the limits of validity of the point model.
