✦ Synopsis
THIS small book contains the combined experience of a nursing sister and a surgeon. Both have a matured background of actual observation of colostomy and ileostomy cases.
This book has been written for those people who have a colostomy and for those concerned with the care of patients with a colostomy.
The authors have done their work well and have shown, in no uncertain fashion, that colostomy patients can live useful and cheerful lives.
The various problems such as the regulation of a colostomy, colostomy care, and the varied dressings which may be used in colostomy cases are discussed at length.
The illustrations throughout the book are excellent.
Although written for the lay public, there can be no doubt that nurses and students will benefit greatly from reading this book.
