✦ Synopsis

E701p antibodies was associated with a shorter disease free interval ( P = 0.012) and poor survival (P = 0.049). However, this variable possessed no prognostic value after adjusting for FIGO stage and tumor size.

Conclusions. The authors' findings indicate that the prognostic significance of serum antibodies to the HPV-16 E4 and E7 peptides used in this study of patients with cervical cancer is limited. Cancer 1994; 749307-13.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) type 16 DNA is frequent in invasive cervical cancers. Among 43 patients with invasive cervical cancer, HPV-16-positive tumors spread to the parametrial and pelvic lymph nodes significantly more often than did HPV-16-negative tumors ( P < 0.05). Certain human papillomaviruses (HPV), mainly types 16 and 18, have been widely recognized as an essential etiologic factor for the development of carcinoma of the uterine cervix. The early HPV proteins E6 and E7 are consistently expressed in the tumor cells, and cervical-carcinoma patients can devel

## Abstract High‐risk human papillomavirus types (HPV‐HR) are associated with head and neck cancer (HNC) risk and better survival. Most patients with HPV‐HR DNA‐positive tumors develop anti‐HPV E6/E7 antibodies; however, it is unclear whether those who mount an immune response have similar risk fac

## Abstract Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is associated with cervical cancer. The E2 and E1 papillomavirus proteins are expressed at the early stage of infection and regulate DNA replication. The E2 protein activates and represses transcription from different HPVs promoters. At some stage wh
