✦ Synopsis

BACKGROUND.

The prognosis for survival of patients infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) who develop non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) usually is considered to be poor. To the authors' knowledge the impact of highly active antiretroviral therapy, recently introduced in HIV disease case management, has not yet been studied in such circumstances.
