โฆ Synopsis
The pathologic type is of primary importance in determining the prognosis of operable breast cancer. The classification of Foote and Stewart or the slightly modified World Health Organization classification is recommended for general use so that comparative data between different series in various countries will be more meaningful. In view of the importance of the level of lymph node involvement in the axilla in primarily operable breast cancer, all surgeons are urged to avail themselves of this easily provided and highly significant bit of information.
