Ringing profiles of magnetization are calculated in both the A and B phases of superfluid 3He, by numerically integrating the Leggett-Takagi equations for various input energies and spin relaxation rates. Spin relaxation is shown to have a strong effect on the ringing profiles, giving rise to the switching o fringing modes.

Assuming that the B phase of superfluid 3He is described by a spherical triplet state of Balian and Werthamer, the magnetic response of the B phase is formulated in terms of the rotation of the condensate spin axis. In a cylindrical geometry with the axis parallel to an external magnetic field two d
