✦ Synopsis

An innovative range of professional updating courses developed within the Faculty of Technology at Kingston Polytechnic is described. The courses have been designed to provide managers~ engineers and technicians with the multidisciplinary knowledge and skills necessary to identify the need for advanced manufacturing systems and to implement such systems within their companies. Courses are provided for either mechanical manufacture or electronic manufacture, and students who successfully complete a number of such courses are awarded a Postgraduate Diploma or MSc Degree in Advanced Manufacturing Systems.
