channel. The bulbous portion presents a sealing bead about the periphery of the valve cover for sealing engagement with a mating surface such as a cylinder head. The apparatus (Figure 4) comprises a base on which a srructural frame with frame members defining a parallelepiped structure is mounted. A part holder is mounted to the frame and suspended over a gasket carrier and a driver or gasket applicator.

Critical and coincidence frequencies of panels are important in studying their behaviour under acoustic excitation. Most spacecraft structural panels are of honeycomb sandwich construction and many of them have face sheets made of composite material. The critical and coincidence frequencies of such
