## Rate coefficients for electronic energy transfer from N2A 3xi to Hg and NO were recorded as 2.90 (50.15) x 10-10 and 5.45 (\*Cl.30 X lo-11 cm3 set-l molecule-l respectively. Excitation of the molecular nitrogen was achieved by monochromatic flash-photosensitization with the resonance radiation
