## Abstract Dispersion is a very important step in powder handling. Microgravity environments were applied to study the process of powder dispersion with an orifice for low transportation gas velocities and for widely sized particle agglomerates. Particle‐size distributions were measured for partic

The phosphor powder ZnS : Cu,Al,Au has been investigated extensively as a possible green phosphor for Ðeld emission displays (FEDs). Phosphor powders of ZnS : Cu,Al,Au have been subjected to electron bombardment (1-5 keV) at oxygen pressures ranging from 1 Γ‚ 10-7 to 2 Γ‚ 10-6 Torr and di †erent elect

## Abstract Starch was converted into glucose by hydrolysis with water under hydrothermal conditions at 453–513 K in a small batch reactor. The major product was glucose; oligomers having various degrees of polymerization, maltose, fructose, 5‐hydroxymethylfurfural and furfural were also produced.
