The production of an array of thousands of optical sensors and their system of data readout electronic system in a project such as a kilometer-sized neutrino telescope, implies processes methods based on industrial manufacturing. The following proposals and remarks are based on the experience acquired with the production of 450 readout boards for the Antares project (http://antares.in2p3.fr)
