Progressing Cavity P u m p using wireline or coiled t u b i n g d e p l o y m e n t , as well as jointed c o n n e c t i o n s and c o n t i n u o u s rod.
The system uses standard Electric Submersible Progressing Cavity P u m p (ESPCP) technology in conjunction with progressing cavity p u m p equipm e n t and can be d e p l o y e d in 31/, inch and larger size tubing. ESPCP systems are best suited tbr wells with high viscous, low gravity oil. These conditions are often found in remote areas, where rig costs can run as high as $300 000 and rig availability is often scarce.
Centrilift d e v e l o p e d this t e c h n o l o g y to reduce the high cost of workovers. With a c o n v e n t i o n a l ESPCP or ESP, a complete system can require up to 72 hours to pull and re-install. With TTC, rig operators can use a w i r e l i n e truck to change the p u m p in about half a day, result-ing in significant cost savings, according to Centrilift. T h e s y s t e m p r o d u c e s up to 1000 BFPD in 31/2 i n c h tubing, w i t h h o r s e p o w e r capacities u p to 100 HP. T h e n e e d for a w o r k o v e r rig d u r i n g p u m p c h a n g e o u t s is eliminated, a n d w o r n p u m p s c a n he c h a n g e d w i t h o u t p u l l i n g tubing.
