โฆ Synopsis
0 1 Solid fuels (derived solid fuels)
The title method involves (a) the use of a faujasite type zeolite (SiOz/ AlzOs mol ratio = l-6) as an adsorbent, and (b) the use of a C&a aromatic hydrocarbon as eluent. The title method is useful for separation of benzothiophene from naphthalene in coal tar.

The title method comprises mixing pulverized coal (average grain diameter <0.3 mm) with >10 wt% waste plastic powder, extruding to form pellets, and then carbonizing it at bottom section of a coke oven under controlled atmosphere. The coke products have a high drum index strength of >84.3 and stable
The carbon fibers may desirably be high strength carbon fibers, i.e. carbon fibers which have low graphitization level.
