โœฆ Synopsis

A process model describing the performance of a resid hydrotreater has been developed using lumped first-order kinetic equations solved for three back-mixed reactors in series. The model has been tested against pilot-plant and commercial data and found to give a good representation of the measurements.

Chemical synthesis and material processing in the highly reactive environment of a gas plasma has been a fertile field of research. The plasma state is well suited to such applications, as the ionized gas may be both an energy transfer medium and a source of reactive intermediates. The wide variety

The performance of a new sulfide-oxidizing, expandedbed bioreactor is described. To stimulate the formation of well-settleable sulfur sludge, which comprises active sulfide-oxidizing bacterial biomass and elemental sulfur, the aeration of the liquid phase and the oxidation of sulfide to elemental su
