Abstract

The construction of the first tube of the Tauern tunnels in the years 1970 to 1975 was a milestone in the development of the NATM and of modern tunnelling. The driving of the second tube of the Tauern tunnel between 2006 and 2008 has shown that the basics of the NATM are still valid (see pages 14 ff and 24 ff).
