Sixty-five persons were reported as having been elected to membership since the last meeting. The Committee to which had been referred the preparation of a memorial of the late JOHN W. NYSTROM, presented the following report, which was accepted and ordered to be spread upon the minutes, viz. : " During the year just closing, we have to note the death, at the age of sixty-two years, of Mr. JOHN W. NYSTRO~~, for many years an active member of the INSTITUTE. '*Mr. NYSTROM was a native of Sweden, and there received a collegiate and technical education.
