Tests at present being undertaken in the Forestry Division of the Department, describing the objects to be accomplished, the need of such investigation to furnish reliable data regarding the properties of our various timbers , and for the information of all who require to use wood in building, engineering and manufacturing, and describin~ the plan and methods proposed for carrying" on the work, The paper was illustrated by the exhibition of charts and photographs of test pieces.
