The speaker described in detail the progress in the economical generation and distribution of electrical current to cities, country towns, and farming communities, and for the drainage of land, power in mines, propulsion of cars on interurban railroads, and other purposes.

He pointed out that economy in the manufacture and distribution of electrical energy is only possible by concentration of production, distribution, and administration.

Numerous lantern slides were shown which gave statistical and other information relating to electrical distribution and consumption. After a vote of thanks to the speaker the meeting adjourned. R. B. OWENS,
