The Secretary reported the resignations of Mr. C. W. HOWARD, Prof.

WM. D. MARKS and Mr. PEDRO G. SALOM as members of the Committee on

Science and the Arts.

The resignations were accepted and a ballot was ordered, to fill the vacancies, which resulted in the election of Dr. W. C. HEAD, in place of Mr. HOWARD.
