In recognition of the history of the Journal, the NLM Committee has also agreed to ÔÔsemi-indexÕÕ all 1999 and 2000 issues. This means that the authors, titles, and abstracts but not the keywords will be also fully available in the database. This landmark success for our organization was due in large part to the hard work of an ad hoc Journal Action Committee assembled during the course of the 2000 HBA meetings under the direction of Linda Gerber and the assistance of Nancy Olsen and Royce Meyer at John Wiley and Sons, Inc. The initial goal of getting a successful Index Medicus review within two yearsÕ time was not only met, but was exceeded.
