✦ Synopsis

The case of a 64-year-old man with "adenosquamous" mesothelioma of the pleura is described. These two elements were intimately associated, which suggested that they formed an integral part of the tumor. To the authors, pluripotentiality of the mesothelium seems essential for the pathogenesis of this unusual neoplasm.
