In this study, silicon nitride ceramics for aluminum melts were prepared by nitrided pressureless sintering (NPS) process, which process is the continuous process of nitridation reaction of Si metal combined with pressureless sintering. Mechanical, chemical and thermal properties of the NPS silicon
