✦ Synopsis

Hydrostatic hole burning experiments up to pressures of 20 MPa are reported for polymers doped with dye molecules. The method used has a high resolution enabling an accurate analysis of the lineshifts. A simple molecular model based on solvent shift theories for dye molecules is used to generate values for the compressibility of host materials.
