We have performed resistivity measurements as a function of applied pressure to 2.0 GPa on a single crystal of UCu 2 Si 2 . We find that the ambient pressure magnetic ordering temperature of 100 K, and the low-temperature ordering at 50 K, both decrease gradually in a manner consistent with itineran

β¦ Synopsis
KCuCl 3 is a singlet ground state system with excitation gap D of 31 K. The magnetization measurements under applied hydrostatic pressure show the existence of the magnetic order above the critical pressure P c ΒΌ 8.8 kbar. We report here on the first neutron diffraction observation of the pressure-induced antiferromagnetic ordering in KCuCl 3 under hydrostatic pressure of 11 kbar. The magnetic structure will be discussed and compared with the pressure-induced magnetic order observed in TlCuCl 3 , an isostructural three dimensionally coupled dimer system.

Magnetic excitation spectra of the spin S 1/2 system of the KCuCl 3 -family crystals are studied by neutron inelastic scattering experiments. The obtained dispersion curves of KCuCl 3 for Q changed in the a\*-c\* plane showed that this compound is likely to be a quasi-two-dimensionally coupled antif
