✦ Synopsis

We report high pressure resistivity measurements at low temperature for NpS and NpSe up to 10 and 25 GPa, respectively. Pressure induces an increase of the antiferromagnetic ordering temperature T N from 25 to 50 K for NpS while it decreases for NpSe from 38 to 20 K. This indicates the progressive delocalization of the 5f electrons which starts participating to the bounding. Pressure effect reinforces the hybridization of f-d electrons and leads to an increase of magnetism in NpS but a reduction of magnetism for NpSe.
