TRANSGALACTIC LTD announces MS Excel based software for Growth Curves, appropriate for the purposes of automation of microbiology work. Growth Curves software controls an automated reading system for the microbial growth analyses BIOSCREEN C and draws growth curves of any strain in any liquid growth medium. Growth Curves software calculates the generation time and the specific growth rate of 200 samples at a time. It automates these research and industrial/routine efforts, where the growth of microorganisms is monitored kinetically in a liquid growth medium.
Growth Curves software permits an automatic run of growth experiments with microorganisms, yeasts, suspended cells, fungi, amoebae and phages. Using Growth Curves software and the microbiology reader BIOSCREEN C, one is able to complete as many tests in just a few weeks that would normally take a year using traditional manual techniques (test tubes and PETRI dishes). Using Growth Curves software and the reader BIOSCREEN C, both aerobic and anaerobic growth can be monitored at an incubation temperature of 1-60 Β°C, an experiment length from one hour to several weeks and many shaking regimes to be selected including continuous shaking.
